The Hollister School District, is located in beautiful San Benito County. Hollister is just a short drive from the majestic Pinnacles National Park and Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation area. From Hollister to the west you are not far from the beautiful beaches of Santa Cruz and Monterey and the rugged coastline of Carmel and Big Sur.

The district serves a student population of about 5,600 students. Around 40% of our students are English Learners. There are five elementary schools that serve students in grades TK - 5, two school that serves TK – 8, two middle schools that serve 6 – 8, a Dual Language Academy (grades TK-8, Spanish/English) and an Accelerated Achievement Academy (grades 4 - 8). The Hollister Dual Language Academy became a California Distinguished School in 2012. The Accelerated Achievement Academy became a California Distinguished School in 2013. Hollister School District is honored to announce that the Accelerated Achievement Academy, Cerra Vista Elementary, Gabilan Hills Elementary, and Rancho San Justo Middle School have been named to the 2017 - 2018 Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll for high achievement and student success.
The District employs more than 600 staff members, including certificated and classified employees, substitutes and others. The district provides its employees extensive professional development opportunities for experienced teachers and newly inducted teachers are supported through the Santa Cruz New Teacher Project.
